This listing is for the size MEDIUM which has finished waists of 26" -28" - 30" . This pattern size is suitable for natural waist sizes of 28" inches to 33"".
This pattern makes a steel boned tight lacing corset which is made to pull the waist in so your natural waist should be 2 - 3 inches (5 -7.5 cm) larger than finished corset waist.

All of our corset patterns have been made many times in our studio so we know they work and give long lasting results.
This corset pattern is exclusively designed by Harlots and Angels Corsetry and has been crafted to be a perfect and comfortable fit for all shapes and sizes. This corset pattern can be relied on to give the beautiful curves that a real Victorian corset should give whilst fitting modern body measurements.
Includes detailed instructions on measuring yourself, fitting and adapting the corset pattern to your own measurements to enable you to make a corset that is perfect.
Materials required:
Outer fabric for corset,
Interlining (good quality medium weight cotton/poly Cotton),
heavy cotton drill or coutil for main lining,
quality bias binding,
metal busk for fastening or buckles, leather straps and rivets,
flat steel bones for front and back and spiral bones for side channels,
eyelets and washers (no.500)
Reinforcing strips fro eyelets,
eyelet setting tool,
4mm hole punch.

A Strikingly individual Steampunk corset sewing pattern, perfect for fantasy theatrical, gothic, fetish and Neo Victorian outfits.
The "Asylum" corset is a full backed corset with optional front fastening. Under bust front pattern that frames the figure with a beautifully curvy silhouette.
Under bust style with standing collar. Full back gives you a great silhouette.
Very adaptable to many different fashion styles.
Pattern is for size medium which has 26"-28"-30" (65 -70 -75cm) FINISHED corset waist sizes.
Please check the corset sizing page to select the best size for your natural waist. As a guide finish your corset 3" (7.5cm) less than your natural waist size.
This corset doesn't want to be made with a wide gap at the back because its designed to fit gracefully over the spine. Its quite cinched in at the waist so choose a pattern no more than 3" larger than your waist for the most comfortable fit.
Always make a mock up of any close fitting tailored pattern!
Materials and notions for this pattern below.
1 1/3 yrd (1.25 metres) outer dress fabric, middle lining (cotton Light to medium weight woven fabric not fusable interfcing) and cotton drill or coutil for main lining.
approx 40 -44 eyelets and fixing tool.
9" to 10" (24cm to 26cm) front metal busk (available in our Etsy store).
5 1/2 yards ( 5 metres) continuous 13mm flat plastic covered sprung steel boning or 3 1/3 yards (3 metres) flat steel boning and 2 1/3 yards (2 metres) spiral boning.
3 1/3 yards (3 metres) double folded 7/8" bias binding (22mm)
1 x 6 1/2 yard (6metres) corset lacing corsed
2 x 20" (50cm) long reinforcing strips or 2 1/4 yards (2 metres) 1 1/2" (38mm) wide petersham reinforcing tape -alwasy use straight grain not biased petersham tape, leather strips, or a solid canvas can also be used as reinforcig strips under the eyelets.
